Some facts about me:

My mom is Puerto Rican (hence the Mercedes) and my dad is white (hence the Blankenship).

I grew up in Germantown, Maryland, which is in Montgomery County, but too far away from a Metro station to say I'm "from DC."

I went to Poolesville High School, where I was part of the Humanities magnet program, a loyal member of the Midnight Players Drama Club, and (somehow) the Captain of the Drumline.

I graduated from American University in Washington, DC with my Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre.

During my time at AU, I got to be a director, dramaturg, writer, designer, teaching assistant, assistant stage manager, technician, carpenter, box office worker, house manager, and actor.

From 2017–2023, I was a member of the Board of Directors of Wildwood Summer Theatre, an entirely youth-run, non-profit community theatre organization based in Montgomery County, MD.

Eventually, I want to get my MFA in Directing, work as a professional director specializing in new musical theatre, and become a theatre educator at the college level.
